3/28/2010 London East Midlands trains is expecting to run a normal daytime service on main routes if strike by signallers and maintenance workers goes ahead. National Rail strike is from 6-9 April, 6am-10am and 6pm-10pm.

7/22/09 Planned strikes this Friday and next Monday (24 and 27 July) will not now go ahead. New offer, 2.5% has been put forward and changes to terms and conditions. Union leaders will now mull this over and decide whether to recommend the offer to its members on Monday.
7/18/09 Rail line East Midlands train drivers now plan on having 6 days of strike action over the next few weeks. Per, East Midland, they will run a minimum of 70 trains and put on a replacement bus service. All East Midlands train routes effected.
London, St. Pancras reduced train service. No trains from Corby and Kettering, Stagecoach instead.
Sparse train service between Nottingham and Skegness. Buses will replace train routes.

Tim Shoveller, managing director of East Midlands Trains, said: "We are extremely angry that our passengers are set to suffer disruption to their important rail services because of a crazy decision by the union."
Train drivers for London services have been offered a 3% increase, taking their pay to around £38,500 a year, 35 hour, four-day week!

East Midlands director said"they have gone to the High Court in an attempt to force drivers to work and get Sunday services back on track."
Drivers are under no obligation to work on Sundays, they do it on a voluntary but are paid non the less.
