Friday the 13, November, 09 When you wake up in am tomorrow you will be part owner in National Express East Anglia, but only for two years. Enjoy it while you can. Will be government owned by midnight tonight. You will be able to ride from London to Scotland. On your behalf the government has pledged £12m to improve facilities at main stations on the line including Newcastle, York and Peterborough, and will also abolish those nasty reservation charges on the line from January 1, 2010.
9/16/09Union leaders from ASLEF meeting today to decide whether to accept latest pay deal. Fingers crossed.
Update:-Union has accepted a 3.5% pay deal over two years, plus a productivity settlement, which could result in an extra 0.5% for members. Strike called off. Back to work.

A limited train service will operate between;
Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street,
Southend Victoria and London Liverpool Street,
Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft to Norwich,
Norwich and Colchester to London Liverpool Street.
Leave early, can you car pool? Sharpen your elbows, those trains will be packed. Going to Stansted airport? Why not go to the airport a day earlier?
National Express East Anglia tickets will be accepted on c2c, First Capital Connect and East Midlands Trains on these days. In addition TfL Buses and London Underground will be accepting Travelcards and season tickets only; other passengers should buy appropriate bus or Underground tickets or use Oyster pay as you go.

9/11/09 National Express East Anglia upping the pressure today. (Hoping public will kick up a fuss in their favour with calls to company) ASLEF union announced they will strike 6 days from Monday, September 21 to Saturday, September 26. Union members rejected a 4 percent raise, offer has been accepted by RMT and TDDS.

Labour's annual conference in Brighton. 27th September to 1st October 2009. Take First Capital Connect services, London to Brighton, their strike is called off.

31, August, 09 40 services were affected on Saturday, including the Ipswich to Norwich, London to Stansted Airport, and Colchester to Clacton routes.
Why what happened? Drivers called in sick, Norwich train broke down twice, 5 percent of trains actually run.
28, August, 09 National Express has announced that it is walking away from its loss making East Coast rail franchise to all parties relief.
20 August,09 National Express East Anglia is providing nearly 40 extra train services on Bank Holiday Monday 25 August, to supplement the usual Bank Holiday Sunday service.
Thursday, 13 August, 09 ASLEF broken away from pack and will be back at work at midnight tonight. Will loosen up some trains. Progress was made yesterday when management offered 3.5 percent pay raise over two years, members will consider it this week. RMT and TSSA meeting this afternoon.
All parties happy and back to work.
Expect residual disruption tomorrow.
Rail journey times from Kent commuter towns will be slashed with the introduction of 140mph Javelin trains. From 7 September two trains will run from Ramsgate and Dover on weekday mornings to St Pancras and two will return in the evenings, cutting times by 49 minutes.

5, August, 09 Talks failed strike on.
5 August, Wednesday. Talks underway, if unsuccessful booking clerks from the Transport Salaried Staff Association will join a further 48-hour stoppage next week.
Aftermath of National Rail Strike.
Service was severely disrupted for tens of thousands commuters.
4 Aug, 09 Kelvedon, Witham and Hatfield Peverel were hourly, with an extra train for Witham on the Thursday, and there had been an hourly service from Stansted Airport. No trains from Braintree to Witham. Buses were never laid on for users. Commuters were forced to sleep on office floors. Some companies had laid on coaches for employees or put them up in hotels.
National Express East Anglia ran just 100 trains on 30 and 31 July instead of its usual 1,800 a day.
National Express managers say the unions want a 2.5% pay rise, a four-day working week and a 4% increase in the number of train drivers.
Limited service, 3 trains would operate between Norwich, Colchester and London Liverpool Street.
Trains will run from Norwich at 5.40am, 6.40am and 7.40am and then 2pm, 3pm and 4pm into London Liverpool Street.
Return journeys will be available at 8.30am, 9.30am, 10.30am, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm into Norwich.
National Express has said that passengers will be entitled to a refund and they can use their tickets the day before or after the strike days to avoid problems.
First strike is coming up. 00.01 hrs Thursday 30th July to 23.59 hours Friday 31st July.
7/28/09 In Essex, passengers are advised to use c2c services from Southend to London.
From parts of Norfolk, passengers can use a combination of East Midlands Trains and First Capital Connect services from Norwich to Ely then on to London.

Train drivers for London services have been offered a 3% increase, taking their pay to around £38,500 a year.
7/15/09 Ballot results in. National Express East Anglia have voted by a massive nine to one majority in favour of strike action in a dispute over pay, conditions and reorganization.

All services on our Metro route between Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria, Southminster and Shenfield. Will run.
All services on our West Anglia route between Liverpool Street and Chingford, Enfield Town, Hertford East and Cambridge. Will run.
All Stansted Express services between Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport
An hourly mainline service between Norwich and Liverpool Street, plus additional services at peak time. Will run.
An hourly service between Clacton, Colchester and Liverpool Street, and Braintree and Liverpool Street plus additional services at peak-time. Will run.
A morning and evening peak service between Norwich and Cambridge, and a two-hourly service between Ipswich and Cambridge. Will run.
Services are unlikely to operate on the 30 March, 09 are following routes: Walton to Thorpe, Harwich to Manningtree, Marks Tey to Sudbury, Norwich to Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft & Sheringham, Ipswich to Felixstowe, Lowestoft & Peterborough
