November 2015 Great news for Air Canada passengers. National airline Air Canada 6,500 flight attendants and 700 Rouge flight attendants sign unusual ten year contract. Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE).
Air Canada pilots last year signed a ten year contract and customer service reps signed a five year contract this year.
Whose left? Baggage handlers and machinists whose contract ends in march 2016 and are represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

24 October Upset today Sales and Service agents over last agreement
Friday 21 October. Strike threat over for now. Flight attendants agree to binding arbitration. Hearing to start October 28.
Thursday 13 October No flight attendants strike. Once issue is in review no strikes or lockouts are to take place. No talks are scheduled between the union and Air Canada.
Update:-Tuesday Canadian government sent issue to Canadian Industrial Relations Board (CIRB).
This the government hopes will prevent attendants from striking.

Tuesday 11 Oct. Nothing much to tell you. Media reporting Government is expected to intervene with a back to work order.
9 October Air Canada flight attendants reject second pay offer. Can strike from 00.01 Thursday 13 October. Will keep you updated. On another note Toronto Int. airport security on a go slow.
Update today:- Union except a deal, will propose it to union members. No strike for now. Flight attendants will take a week to decide. Issue not over yet.
20 September 2011 You can change your flight over the next six days free of charge. Don't wait call them. Air Canada Express flights will be changed to accommodate other passengers.
19 September 2011 Monday, All parties will meet up this afternoon. Talks ended without a deal. Last day for negotiations tomorrow. Federal government drawing up new back to work legislation. Stating strike would be bad for Canadian economy.
18 September WestJet putting more flights on. Flight attendants mulling over new contract.
14 September 2011 Air Canada's 6,800 flight Attendants contract ended March 2011. Flight attendants have given the Canadian Union of Public Employees permission to call a strike. Air Canada will operate a partial schedule.
JazzAir flight attendants are a different union and JazzAir flights should not be effected.
Strike can happen anytime from midnight Tuesday, 20 September. By law they have to give 72 hours notice. Hopefully deal will be made by Sunday.
