Update:-March 21 Baggage handlers cancel strike notice today for the 25, 26 and 27 March is cancelled.
Easter March 14,2013 No sooner than the Iberia strike more or less over with. Those nagging baggage handlers are back at it. Handlers CNT minority unions and the State Coordinator Handling (Cesha) have called for strikes on 25, 26 and 27 March. Before the strike union organizers and Iberia attend Interconfederal Service Mediation and Arbitration (SIMA).

Spanish baggage handlers back on strike. This time it's Iberia airline related baggage handlers. Of course Iberia subsidiary's Air Nostrum, IberiaExpress and Vueling flights are also hit by cancellations. These are the dates call your airline. This strike is being very well run. 10 August 2011 Relax, Spanish baggage handlers strike CANCELLED employee re-instated. Wonder who saw the light?
8 August 2011 Spanish baggage handlers and ground staff to strike, will effect all Spanish airports Thursday, 18 August and Friday, 26 August both 48 hours long.

We suspect and have fingers crossed that this strike will not go on. How can the Spanish government let thousands of tourists vacations and pilgrims for Pope's visit be a living hell over one man being fired. Originaly four workers had been layed off only to be re-instated, except for one.
Unions UGT, CCOO and USE successfully rallying 60,000 baggage handlers workers to strike in protest over this one union member dismissal.
All Spanish airports will be effected, easy 6,000 flights daily in and out of Spain. Expect your flight to possible be cancelled or bought forward to get you into the country before strike starts.
