18 September 2015 The first three Allegro trains departing from both Helsinki and St. Petersburg will be cancelled, while the trains departing from Helsinki at 8pm and from St. Petersburg at 7.25pm will be operated as usual. The work stoppage will cause no disruptions to the overnight express service between Helsinki and Moscow, Tolstoi Helsinki Times

11/11/10 Finland to Russia new high speed rail link! Starts 12 December, 2010 at a cost of 84 Euros. The Allegro is a joint venture by VR and RZD, i.e. Russian Railways. VR and RZD are responsible for onboard services, timetables and ticket sales. The trainsets are owned by VR and RZD’s joint rolling stock company Karelian Trains.

Allegro rail link will do the journey in just three and half hours and allow for speeds of up to 220 km/h (140 mph) both at the Finnish gauge of 1524 mm and the Russian gauge of 1520 mm.
In 2011, Sibelius and Repin trains will be withdrawn from service, Allegro will have three departures from both ends every day.
Crews will be Finnish and Russian, border paper work will be done on the moving train.  Projections are 750,000 trips by 2015. Here's a press release from VR group

Italian made trains have a dual power system, so that they can use the DC network in Russia and the AC network in Finland.
