Air Nelson pilots strike
Mar 25, 2008
Flights in and out of Tauranga airport were hard to come by on Tuesday morning as Air Nelson pilots went on strike. The 12 hour walkout resulted in the cancellation of three return flights to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Air Nelson chief executive John Hambleton says they did their best to accommodate affected passengers. Mediated contract talks continue, but the pilots have already given notice of a ban on overtime set to begin on Thursday and a further 12 hour strike set down for April 4.
